

This scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Education who plans to teach, and has been approved for financial aid by the University of South Alabama Office of Financial Aid. To apply for this scholarship, please complete the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office Scholarship Application. Applicants must be full-time undergradutes with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Students must be enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year (fall and spring) in order to apply and receive this scholarship. Nominations for the award must be endorsed by the Director of the USA Programs in Gerontology or the Director of the USA Center for Generational Studies.

The College of Arts and Sciences scholarship selection committee will be charged with the responsibility of selecting the recipient of this scholarship. Students should demonstrate a commitment to working with senior citizens who have limited resources and reside in senior living communities, most especially those AHEPA 310 Senior Housing facilities located in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. This scholarship was established for the purpose of providing financial assistance to undergraduate students majoring in a field related to Life Course & Aging Studies in good academic standing based on GPA, academic performance, and an essay on career goals.
